The interdisciplinary Entrepreneurship Program provides all USF Polytechnic students the opportunity for applied education and training in successful opportunity recognition and development, technology and market assessment, technology commercialization, new venture formation, and new venture financing. The Entrepreneurship Program will interact very closely with the local business community to generate class project opportunities, create student internships, and identify guest speakers and mentors.
The goal is to create a win-win-win among USFP, our students, and the local community. The program will support economic development for the region by educating and training entrepreneurially-oriented individuals, and through field-projects assisting local businesses. The program will support innovation, creativity, and productivity in existing local businesses - promoting "intrapreneurship".
An undergraduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship and a BSAS Concentration in Entrepreneurship are currently being developed. Entrepreneurship courses that have been developed and are currently being taught include:
- MAN 4802: Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management
- MAN 4804: Small Business Management Counseling
