IT graduates are prepared for an array of mid- and upper-level career opportunities that require bachelor's degrees. Students have a unique opportunity to individualize their program to define their future work environment, an opportunity that exists in few other career fields. IT professionals are employed by small and large businesses, banks, health care organizations, educational institutions, law enforcement agencies, and government and not-for-profit agencies, just to name a few.

Graduates work in a variety of areas including applications architecture and development, website design and support, network planning and configuration, information security, database design and administration, gaming, military or homeland security operations, system administration or a host of other specialties, many of which have not yet been invented. They will work with other IT professionals, as well as a host of different users of their systems, from the line worker to the CEO. The IT field will be filled with constant change and career advancement will be unlimited.
