USF Polytechnic provides a 2+2 bachelor's program. It allows students to complete the first two years (approximately 60 semester credit hours) at their local community college or another college or university and the last two years (approximately 60 semester credit hours) with USF Polytechnic to obtain a bachelor's degree. Freshmen and lower level transfer students are welcome to apply for admission to USF Tampa or USF St. Pete.
The admissions process is a centralized service for the University of South Florida system with all applications processed at USF Tampa.
To gain admissions into USF Polytechnic, students must:
- Have a minimum of 60 transferrable credit hours; and
- Have a minimum of a 2.0 cummulative GPA; and
- Complete USF's Undergraduate Admissions Application process online; and
- Pay the $30 application fee; and
- Submit official transcripts from every college/university previously attended.
Some academic programs are limited access, which means that there are admission requirements in addition to those of the university in general. Pre-requisite and GPA requirements are listed in the admissions section of each undergraduate program.
The staff in USFP Admissions are available to assist future bulls throughout the admissions process. The admissions process timeline and the applicant checklist may also provide assistance.
