USF Polytechnic is committed to providing a safe and secure campus environment for all students, faculty, and staff. Sharing a joint use campus, USF Polytechnic and Polk State College partner together on all safety initiatives and emergency responses.
USF Polytechnic's Campus Safety and Planning Committee develop policies and procedures to further ensure safety and collaborate routinely with local law enforcment on the campus' emergency response plan.
The following measures are in place in order to better safeguard our community.
- On-site PSC Security officers patrol and monitor activity throughout the campus, buildings and parking lots 24 hours/7 days a week. They are also available to escort students, faculty, and staff to their vehicle at any time by calling 863.297.1059.
- Blue light safety phones are located throughout the campus to dispatch PSC Security officers in case of an emergency.
- Exterior hallways, sidewalks, and parking lots are well-lit for students, faculty and staff walking to and from classes or vehicles during the evening.
- Polk County Sheriff's complex is within three miles of the campus.
