The University of South Florida Polytechnic's Multicultural Leadership Program (MLP) is a leadership development program that focuses on mentoring incoming students. The MLP enhances the awareness and acceptance of diverse cultural groups within the university and the community.

We engage students in a variety of learning opportunities that expand their knowledge and strengthen their abilities in leadership and service. More specifically, the MLP encourages students to:

• Identify and develop personalized leadership styles.
• Learn effective leadership skills, including communication, critical thinking, listening, collaboration, motivations and conflict resolution.
• Learn to lead in diverse, multicultural settings through hands-on experiences.
• Increase awareness of the values and challenges of diverse cultures.
• Serve as a role model, a resource, and a mentor to incoming USF Polytechnic students.
