USF Polytechnic is committed to making a difference through strategic community engagement. USFP students, faculty and staff are active in their hometowns throughout west central Florida, serving as volunteers, mentors, board and committee members, coaches, and public scholars.
USFP faculty and students are also engaged in applied research with significant implications for the region and beyond in areas such as software development, engineering, healthcare, logistics and supply chain management, criminology, entrepreneurship, diversity, education, leadership and popular culture.
In addition, USFP is actively engaged in economic development initiatives that will ultimately transform central Florida's economy. Through a series of strategic partnerships, USFP is leveraging USF's intellectual capital, human resources, and strategic vision to support regional and global projects in areas such as international trade, RFID, manufacturing technology, ag technology, GIS, and workforce development.
