
Dr. Rosemarie S. Lamm, director of the University of South Florida Polytechnic Rath Senior Connextions and Education Center, made two presentations at the 69th Annual Meeting of The Society for Applied Anthropology in Santa Fe, N.M., March 17-21 2009.
Lamm discussed "Health Care Delivery Collaboration: Bottom Up community Development" and "Intergenerational Learning Community: Collaborative Cultural Brokerage." In her remarks, Lamm described the ongoing service learning that USFP's Rath Center provides.
The health care delivery collaboration describes the advocacy and promotion of integrated health services by volunteers of the Polk County Health Alliance. The intergenerational learning community provides a partnership between elders and students that enriches lives while providing cultural awareness.
Lamm is also an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and a member of the USF Polytechnic faculty.
