Dennis Michael, vice president of information technology, FedEx Freight System, will present "IT Within a Freight World" at the University of South Florida Polytechnic's Information Technology Colloquium on April 15. The event, which is free and open to the public, takes place from noon to 1 p.m. in LTB 1124 at USF Polytechnic in Lakeland.

Sponsored by USF Polytechnic's IT department, the IT colloquium series, which began in 2002, features USF Polytechnic faculty, community members and visiting professors and aims to expand the scope of traditional computer science education into a broader set of disciplines more in tune with the needs of modern society and business.
