Dr. Rosemarie S. Lamm, director of the University of South Florida Polytechnic Rath Senior Connextions and Education Center, made a presentation at the 30th annual meeting of the Southern Gerontological Society in St. Petersburg, Fla., April 19, 2009. Attendees represent those who work with the elderly, develop policy and teach in aging disciplines.   

Lamm discussed "Seamless and Accessible: A University Community Collaborative." In her remarks, she described the ongoing service learning that USFP's Rath Center provides.

The health care delivery collaboration describes the advocacy and promotion of integrated health services by volunteers of the Polk County Health Alliance.  The intergenerational learning community provides a partnership between elders and students that enriches lives while providing cultural awareness.

Lamm is also an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and a member of the USF Polytechnic faculty.
