Polk Works, along with the University of South Florida Polytechnic, Polk State College and U.S. Rep. Adam Putnam, will host a Veteran's Exposition and Employment Fair Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the USF Poly/PSC campus in Lakeland.

More than 25 businesses will be available at the event. The event, though geared toward veterans who are re-entering civilian employment, is open to the general public.

"We were grateful that Adam Putnam invited us to be part of this important event," said Marshall Goodman, VP and CEO, USF Polytechnic. "It's exciting to see our returning servicemen and servicewomen, who have so many obvious talents, provided with opportunities such as this. They've served our country, and now it's our chance to serve them."
