VISION STATEMENT

We the USFP Pride Awareness Committee (PAC) envision a safe environment for all members of the LGBT community. We celebrate and acknowledge the diversity within our institution, service community and society by welcoming each person with respect and understanding. In doing so, PAC believes that all LGBT students, faculty and staff should be valued and fully integrated in every aspect of university life.

OUR MISSION

USFP Pride Awareness Committee (PAC) is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of all gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered persons, their families and friends. PAC will:

• Provide a support system for all LGBT students, faculty and staff in the USF system.

• Provide training and education to create an awareness of LGBT issues.

• Support other community-based organizations and events with goals similar to PAC that allow full rights for LGBT individuals.

• Create a safe and supportive environment for all regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

• Advocate to reduce homophobia, heterosexism and discrimination.

• Create opportunities for open dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity.
