Beginning Alzheimer's Support and Education (BASE) -

Beyond BASE: Early Stage Dementia Support and Education Group (specifically for individuals who have completed the BASE education program)

Transcending Limitations through Creativity (TLC) Program

The TLC program is specifically designed for individuals with dementia and their carepartners. The TLC program utilizes creativity to stimulate cognitive processing through the learning of new information, while acting as a catalyst for consistent socialization.

When: First and Fourth Mondays of Each Month, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Parkinson's Disease Support Group

Established in 1983, The Lakeland area Parkinson's Support Group presently consists of more than 30 members. Previously facilitated by Peace River Center, the primary purpose of the group is to provide education about numerous issues relevant to Parkinson's disease (e.g., caregiving, cutting-edge research developments, new treatment options, clinical trials, alternative/holistic therapies). The goal is to help individuals directly and indirectly affected by Parkinson's disease to understand and cope with the disease as effectively as possible. The Parkinson's disease support group welcomes all who are interested in attending.
