Step 1:
Obtain a Student ID. You will need a USF student identification card in order to sign up for your USF NetID that is necessary to access a Blackboard course.
Step 2:
Obtain a USF NetID. This is necessary to gain access to the USF Portal and your Blackboard class. To activate your NetID visit University Network Access. Then...
- Click "Activate your USF Net ID
- Click the primary identification item you wish to use:
- USF ID# is your student ID which will look like U123456789.
- USF ID card number which starts with 6400. Then press the Continue button.
- USF NetID if you were provided a NetID and personal code for activation.
- Enter Birth date
- Enter Last 4 of your SSN
- Click "Activate NetID"
- Select a security question and answer
- Follow the instructions for the rest of the screens. When asked to enter a password keep in mind that this must be from 6-8 characters and cannot contain any word recognizable by a dictionary. It is recommended that you use a combination of numbers and letters.
- Verify your email address within your netid. This should reflect a USF email address. If it does not have a USF email address for you, contact Academic Computing at 866.974.1222
Step 3:
Log-in to the My USF Portal using your new NetID and password you obtained in step 2. Then...
- To find your course, click on the tab at the top of the page which reads "Courses".
- All course correspondence will be routed through your USF email account specified by your NetID, unless you forward it to another location.
