The office of Extended Education (EE) is responsible for educational opportunities that are non-credit baring which includes conferences, courses, programs, certificates, speaker's bureau and other events that may require registration and fee collection serving the university community. As such, the office aims to develop a wide variety of offerings that align to the University of South Florida Polytechnic vision and mission and serve professional markets, youth/school audiences, local agencies and community members. The USFP EE unit is distinctive in its program develop approach, working with faculty, staff, and external constituents as program sponsors to identify topics, design delivery, and implement offerings.
USF Polytechnic offers a variety of services to respond to the non-academic credit needs of the community.
- Professional and personal development courses and certificates
- Cultural, computer, and personal enrichment courses for senior adults through the Senior Scholars program, which is facilitated by the Rath Senior Conextions Center
- Youth-based programs and courses
- Conference facilitation and coordination
- Speakers bureau to link community requests to USF Polytechnic expertise
